Biography of Carl Dingus Carl Dingus was born the fifth of six children in Jenkins, Kentucky. His father and grandfather were both pastors. Because of the strong Christian influence in his home, Carl came to know Christ at a young age.
He received a BA in Bible and Theology from Appalachian Bible College in 1991. Carl served as Youth Pastor at Calloway Heights Community Church in Beckley, WV in 1990. After graduation from college, he accepted a position as Assistant Pastor at Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton, Indiana, where he served for 6 years.
In 1997, Carl and his family moved to California where he attended The Master's Seminary. In June 2000, he was appointed as Ministry Leader for the State Capitol of Pennsylvania by the national board of Capitol Ministries. He received a Master of Divinity degree from the seminary in May 2001, and moved to Pennsylvania to officially take the position of Ministry Leader. Carl is currently serving the legislators, legislative staff and lobbyists full-time at the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg. His ministry involves leading Bible studies, providing counseling and personal discipleship.
Carl and Ruthie reside in Hershey with their five children: Carolyn, Caleb, Colin, Carlton and Christopher. Carl's passion is studying God's Word and communicating it to others. He also enjoys hiking, camping, biking and fishing with his family.
