We looked back in our last update and gave thanks. In this month’s update, let us look forward to 2009 and lift up the following things in prayer:

• The 2009 legislative session’s Bible Study Series is entitled “God: The Sure Rock in Unsure Times.” We will be walking through Isaiah 40-48 and bringing in a number of the Psalms to examine God’s greatness and glory; thus understanding Psalm 146:3, 5—Do not trust in princes, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation. How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the LORD his God. When the 2009 session is over, we will pick back up where we left off in the Gospel of Mark with our continued staff study.

• Our first “Pastors’ Day At The Capitol” will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2009. This will be an event bringing spiritual leaders from all over the state to the state capitol building for a day of prayer, fellowship and introduction to their legislators—not to discuss politics, but to strengthen and initiate relationships. More information on this special day will soon be coming.

• Continued exposure of the ministry. Pray for more opportunities to present the ministry in churches, retreats, colleges and seminaries, and with individual people.

• Continued expansion of the ministry. We desire to expand into the executive and judicial branches of Missouri’s government. Appointments are already set to meet with some Missouri judges. Pray that these will grow into ministry avenues toward these leaders. Pray also that Missouri may be a catalyst for expansion into foreign capitals, as well.

• For a staff person or office manager who will assist in organizing this growing ministry work and can work for free for a while. I know this is a tall order, but we are praying to God Who made heaven and earth, The sea and all that is in them; Who keeps faith forever (Psalm 146:6).
