Biography of Paul Meinsen Paul is a native Missourian; born in Joplin and raised in Springfield. He is the oldest of four boys who grew up in a Christian home that taught the importance of honoring God and loving His people.
After graduating from Central High School in Springfield, he attended Ozark Christian College in Joplin, graduating in December 1987 with a Bachelor of Biblical Studies degree. He soon accepted a call as a youth pastor in Tulsa, Oklahoma and after almost three years, he took a similar position at the Flint Hills Christian Church in Emporia, Kansas where he served for 12 years. FHCC was the place where Paul matured as a pastor, not just to young people but to people of all ages.
Paul then accepted a call to a senior pastor position in the Oklahoma City area, but things did not work out, therefore, he and the family moved to California to attend The Master’s Seminary to finish his master’s degree work. If class work stays on schedule, he will graduate with a Master of Divinity degree in December 2007. Besides school, Paul is currently serving as the Associate Pastor of English Ministries of the San Gabriel Valley Alliance Church in Arcadia, CA. This is a predominately Chinese church with a Cantonese-speaking congregation and English-speaking congregation serving side-by-side under one leadership board. The leadership at SGVAC has graciously invited Paul to serve while he is attending school knowing that he plans to move back home to serve with Capitol Ministries when school is done.
An interest in Capitol Ministries began at The Master’s Seminary when the president of Capitol Ministries, Ralph Drollinger, was in a Greek class with Paul. After Ralph discussed the ministry in class one day, Paul’s interest was peaked concerning the ministry and after several meetings and training the decision was made by both parties to continue down this path to open a ministry work in the Show-Me state.
On December 23, 1988, Paul married Joye Sadler, from the St. Louis area. They have four children—Jessica, Timothy, Benjamin, and Jonathan. The family is ready to come back home to serve those who serve the great state of Missouri.
