Arkansas Ministry Updates
November 20, 2008
Our first Arkansas Election Eve Capitol Cookout and Prayer Walk was a testimony to God’s amazing grace. Everything came together, and I am amazed at how God graciously and providentially synchronized so many people and schedules.
We had all the volunteers we needed, food and beverages were provided, and three Christian musicians inspired us with their musical gifts. Three political leaders came to share their heart and Pastor Lance Quinn of the Bible Church of Little Rock delivered a very timely message from Romans 13. Approximately 150 people joined us to pray for our political leaders, our nation, the churches in Arkansas and America and for our ministry to the political leaders in Arkansas, America and around the world.
I had the sense that this was not my own event, rather it was God’s. Jesus Christ was the reason people came and volunteered, therefore we give Him all of the thanks, all of the honor and all of the glory. God has again enlarged our vision of His greatness. To see over 100 people gathering for prayer and having the opportunity to meet with people who came from all around the state—some traveling from as far as four hours to be with us, was truly a humbling, joyful and awesome experience.
Pinching myself as I serve a great and awesome God,
