Arizona Ministry Updates
November 4, 2008
This month I would like to bring two upcoming events to your attention and ask your prayers for them.
First, November 5-10 is the Capitol Ministries annual Vision and Planning meeting. All of the state directors and headquarters staff will be gathered together at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (my alma mater) to discuss the progress of last year and prepare for the year ahead. Please pray for:
• Safe travel for those coming from a distance
• Wisdom as we discern the strengths and weaknesses from the last year and plan for future ministry
• Encouragement and bonding among the brothers in the ministry
Secondly, a team from our headquarters will be visiting Argentina beginning on November 15 to prepare for the ministry's first international launch in 2009, led by Argentina native Luciano Bongarra. Please pray for them as they will be meeting with the most influential people in Argentina's political arena, and for Luciano, as he finalizes the agenda for their time in his country. They will be meeting with, among others:
• Numerous members of the Argentine National Congress and staff
• The vice president of Argentina, Julio Cobos
• The presumptive next President of Argentina
• The United States Ambassador as well as diplomats from other nations, including Pakistan and others
• The governor of the Province of Mendoza, Celso Jaque, and his staff
• Over 100 pastors
• Numerous influential business people who may be able to help resource this ministry plant
Additionally, the ministry's founder and president Ralph Drollinger will be preaching several times at different influential churches throughout the country. In addition to developing relationship with key people, the team will be working with attorneys and accountants on important administrative structures that must be in place before we can officially launch Capitol Ministries Argentina.
Thank you for your prayers,
